Aberdare Online

AberdareOnline was established in the year 1999 as an online gallery of vintage postcards that depicted the Cynon Valley from Abercynon right to the edges of Rhigos and the Neath valley. Since then its developed into a website that has brought people together to share information and ideas about the county of Rhondda Cynon Taff. Along with different designs, looks and features over the years its had its share of controversy with revelations from local councillors and bullying within the discussion forums.
In August 2007, AberdareOnline closed its doors to public posts due to the time required to moderate them and carry out the many day to day tasks of running the website. With sometime to sit back and think about AberdareOnline and how its been used by millions over its lifetime, it was time that it was revamped and redeveloped. The result is what you see today with the new tools in place to manage new features and user content creation.
